Coping with anxiety is like being on a never-ending roller coaster of mixed emotions, largely consisting of fear and panic. Anxiety is experienced by almost everyone at one point or another, but when it becomes a permanent thing, it needs to be dealt with. In the past, we would have to rely on prescription medication in order to temporarily overcome bouts of stress and anxiety, but sadly the side-effects of pharmaceutical drugs can make anxiety even worse—not to mention prescription medications are riddled with side effects like insomnia and weight gain.

Sleep is one of the most important things you can do to maintain a healthy mental and physical life. However, about one in three adults in the United States experience insomnia throughout the year and don’t sleep the recommended seven-plus hours each night.
Unfortunately, despite the growing knowledge of sleep’s benefits people are more willing to lose a couple hours of shut eye each night due to what is considered time-stressors such as work, play, and social activities. Additionally, about 35% of adults experience either acute or chronic insomnia related to serious mental health disorders, chronic pain, and anxiety.
With time, people are understanding and valuing the importance of mental health. Even while they may have all the comfort, mothers can go through a tough phase due to the onset of ailments such as postpartum depression. Motherhood is a blissful experience. However, it does come with its challenges. According to a study compiled by the Health and Human Services, about 15% of the mothers suffer from postpartum depression in the United States. However, this number might not reveal the true picture as it just includes the reported cases.
