Can we talk about pain and how it manifests in the body? One of my favorite things to explain is why pain happens and how our favorite plant can help it. Mayo clinic tells us, the most common cause of muscle pain is tension, stress, overuse and minor injuries. This type of pain is usually localized, affecting just a few muscles or a small part of your body. Okay, but what does this all mean? Basically, pain can come and be
caused by many different things but at it’s most basic form it comes when there is too much inflammation and the cells start pushing on the nerves or pain receptors kind of a thing like the room get too crowded.
So how does cannabis help? Simply put, THC numbs the nerve and CBD reduces inflammation. The compounding effects of THC and CBD work together to provide greater medical relief to the user. This is because THC and CBD bind to different cannabinoid receptors and in turn generate higher endocannabinoid activities.
I hope your pain is less today, if not it’s time for a smoke break!
